A funnel in marketing refers to the step-by-step process that potential customers go through from the moment they become aware of your product or service to the point where they make a purchase or take a desired action (like booking an appointment or signing up for a newsletter).
The concept is called a “funnel” because, just like the shape of an actual funnel, it starts wide (with a large number of potential leads) and narrows down as only the most interested prospects make it to the final stage (the conversion).
